To date, 32 additional counties have followed Lee County’s lead and are now certified as Work Ready Communities. Certification is good for two years but maintaining momentum in the initiative is critical to re-certify your county. Lee County is well on their way for re-certification having met 85% of their maintaining goals – including, reaffirming local employer support of the National Career Readiness Certificate and improving Certificate levels.
Make plans to attend to hear from Meaghan Lewis, from the North Carolina Chamber about the value of the National Career Readiness Certificates and the improvement it can make in building your talent pipeline locally. Lee County’s 2-year certification is quickly coming to an end – come hear how you can help in re-certifying our county as Work Ready!
The luncheon will begin at 11:45 am at The Flame Steakhouse. Tickets for this event are on a first come, first serve basis and can be purchased online or by calling the office at 919.775.7341. Tickets are $15 for Chamber Members and $20 for Non-Chamber Members.
